MovieBar March 2013 - Postscript...

Thanks to everyone who came along on Monday! It was a fantastic night and great to see so many people there! Also, special thanks to Jody at the Caroline for sorting out a new projector and to Cheryl White for the buffet!

Here's how it went down...

Director Nathan Gregg talked about swimming in the sea at 6.30 in the morning to film his documentary I Take You With Me...

...which you can see here...

We also screened another of Nathan's films, Newsaurus...

...which Nathan explained is a remake of another short film which by Mark Ludgate, which you can see here...

Cheryl White premiered her short film Before Babel and talked about cutting a 12 page script into a 5 minute film without any dialogue...

The trailer for Cheryl's film is here...

Ben Brockett came along to talk about his animated music video for Islands of Japan by his band The Galleons...

...which you can see here...

You can find out more about The Galleons on their website www.thegalleons.com where you can also buy their album (I seriously recommend you buy their album - it's amazing).

Finally we screened Luther Bhogal-Jones' 60-minute feature Gettin Some and talked to Luther about the 14 year production history of the film...

You can see the whole film here, and it's definitely worth checking out...

Also, Chris Cook and Ewan Gorman talked about their upcoming indie feature development workshop. You can find out more by e-mailing Ewan at ewan[at]blackrockfilms.co.uk
